Invertebrate fossil are animals that lacked backbones.  Most lived in the sea and most are no extinct.

The Crinoid looked like a flower on a jointed stalk in the Mississippian period.

The class of echinoderms also cludes starfish, sand dollars and sea cucumbers.

This specimen is part of th stem found in Chainman shale formation in White Pine, Co, Nev.

Size:  3cm long.
