About Pentagrams: A pentagram, pentalpha, pentangle or star pentagon is a five pointed star drawn with five straight lines. The word pentagram comes from the Greek word meaning five lines.
The pentagram was used in ancient times as a Christian symbol for the five senses or the five wounds of Christ.
In Chinese medicine, acupuncture, feng shui and Taoism traditions maintain that the five phases or elements are important for their cyclic transformation and include: Fire (火 huǒ), Earth (土 tǔ), Metal (金 jīn), Water (水 shuǐ), and Wood (木 mù).
In Wicca it is popular for its magic symbolism attributed to the five elements and the cycles of life.
The five pointed star is a symbol of the Bahá’í Faith where the star is known as the Haykal. In Arabic it means “temple”.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints began using both upright and inverted five pointed stars in Temple architecture begining with the Nauvoo Illinois Temple dedicated on 30 April 1846.
An inverted Pentagram was used by the Order of the Eastern Star, an organization associated with Freemasonry (established 1850).
Peridot: mentioned in the Bible as Chrysolige; considered sacred by Christians; stone of lightness & beauty; only for spiritual or the clear-minded (a person with too many earthly problems won’t understand its beauty); protects against negative emotions; great for gall bladder and liver.
